HOW YOU CAN HELP
Sometimes there are churches, groups and individuals ask how they can help us. On this page we will share with you needs that we have and how you can help.
Prayer: The number way that you can help is to pray for us. We send out a monthly newsletter that updates you to some of our prayer needs. We would be glad to add you to our mailing list via email or snail mail.
Small Items: Phone cards; stamp; HP 27 & 28 ink jets for printers; snack foods for the children’s programs; personal care items for give away care bags (like lip balm, small tube of toothpaste, hand lotion, toothbrush, etc.) these bags are given away to needy; children’s gloves, socks, and warm hats are also needed; light weight food items like Ramen Noodles or mac & cheese
We are also collecting 3 gallon and 5 gallon size buckets with lids. These can be used but they need to be food grade safe. We give these away on special event days like July 4th with a Bible and other small useful items. The Eskimo people use buckets for berry picking, storing food items, and for storing their seal oil.
Big Items: First Baptist Church needs a new furnace. The old one is very old and it is expensive to operate. It breaks down on the average of twice a year during the winter. We have a bid on a new, energy efficient furnace that would cost $15,000 including shipping and labor. Half of this figure is shipping and labor. Perhaps you know someone who could get us a better price on a unit. We have a team willing to put the furnace in once we get it. We know people in the shipping business that might be able to help us in shipping. Either way, we need to raise the funds needed for this project.
We are raising money to renovate the sanctuary. The need is for $25,000 of which $15,000 is just for shipping the materials up.
As these needs are filled, they will be removed. New needs will be added to this site as they arise.
