Welcome to First Baptist Church Kotzebue, Alaska. We are a Southern Baptist Church located 35 miles north of the Arctic Circle at 331 Shore Ave. in Kotzebue, Alaska. We minister to both the Inupiat Eskimos and the Anglos that live here. We also serve as the mother church for 4 mission churches along the Kobuk River. Our goal is to be a shining light to those in spiritual need here in this village and the surrounding villages.
Our church has been here about 60 years providing ministry and leadership to the people that live here as well as those that just pass through for a short time. Although we are about 60 years old, we have recently had a face lift both inside and out. We have brand new grey and white siding on the church and we are located on Shore Ave. between the hotel and the post office. If you live here, come and visit with us. If you plan to visit or move here, we would love to minister to you while you are here. John Forrester is our pastor and he preaches God's Word straight from the Bible.
